About Me

I left school wanting to work in the Fitness industry, going on to study Sports Development and Fitness. Following this, I obtained my Fitness qualifications through working as a full time Personal Trainer/Group Exercise instructor at a health club.

I developed a large clientele at the club and I am proud of what my clients achieved whilst working with me. I was lucky enough to be able to further my skills through in-house training; Kettlebell workshops, Spinning, Boxfit to name a few.

I went on to work overseas in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt at a 5* resort in a ‘Sports Coordinator’ role. This included teaching Personal Training, Boot Camp classes, as well as Aqua Aerobics classes, and alongside lots of Sporting activities. It was a 9 month contract working from February 2014 through until November 2014 and it was a fantastic experience. Exercising in the 40+ degree heat in the peak months of the year was both physically and mentally exhausting! I made a lot of local friends out there and have the utmost respect for the guys and the service they provide to the guests, particularly in the hot months and during the Ramadan fast.

Following this, I came back to the UK and started my Group Exercise and PT work locally. Whilst thinking of my next venture, I noticed The Body Coach were recruiting and as a big fan of Joe’s philosophy and simplicity, applying was a no brainer! I secured the job as a Support Coach, which is a role to support clients who are following the 90 Day SSS fat loss plan.

I loved the role and quickly expressed my passion for fitness and exercise, allowing me to progress and I now work in a role closely with Joe supporting YouTube/Facebook workout content, and in general anything fitness related.  I am very fortunate in this role, in that I have filled in for Joe on numerous occasions with Facebook Live workouts, on The Body Coach Facebook channel.

Alongside my role at The Body Coach, I teach Group Exercise classes across London; Ride (spinning) and ‘Matrix’ (HIIT) workouts for Digme Fitness teaching in Richmond, Moorgate and Blackfriars. I am a keen runner and found that the cycle classes compliment my running well. The cross training aspect is low impact and really has developed my leg strength. In October 2017 I completed my 5th Marathon, with a PB.

I love moving my body in different ways and encouraging people to do this is a big passion of mine – ‘if you don’t move it, you lose it’. It’s a great feeling to be able to move your body well, be mobile or even just to be able to touch your toes. I believe it’s never too late to work on this.

One thing that I have learnt is that you can never stop learning in the health and fitness industry and you can always learn off from other trainers, or take a new course to further develop knowledge. My next venture is a Yoga course in March 2018 which I am really excited about!

My message is that Fitness is for everyone, just keep moving!
